Learn the sustainability story behind The Golf Club at Harbor Shores, host to the 2016 Senior PGA Championship, as Michigan’s Great Southwest Sustainable Business Forum visits the region’s most significant redevelopment project in a generation for a Signature Program on Monday, June 13.

Registration is closed. Walk-ins will be accepted.

The Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course runs over remarkably diverse terrain that challenges golfers even as it offers a spectacular setting in which to play: dramatic views of Lake Michigan, the Paw Paw River, Ox Creek and its wetlands, rolling hills, ravines and a hardwood forest. Today a microcosm of the most ecologically-diverse county in Michigan, more than three million square feet of dilapidated buildings were demolished and over 140,000 tons of waste material removed from portions of the Paw Paw River and throughout the various sites on the property. In 2011 it received the Golf Course Superintendent Association of American/Golf Digest’s Environmental Leaders in Golf Award.

Featured speaker is Managing Director Bob McFeeter; Course Superintendent Brad Fry will lead a tour. Complimentary appetizers and cash bar available during the cocktail hour preceding the program and guided tour, with farm-to-table dinner specials available after.

Bob currently serves as Managing Director of the Harbor Shores project and Evergreen Development and Real Estate Companies, the development and project managers of Harbor Shores.  Prior to moving to Michigan in 2005, Bob was the General Manager and Project Director of the $750 million “Walsh Bay Redevelopment Project”, involving the urban redevelopment of historic Walsh Bay on Sydney Harbor, Australia. The project comprised a 25-acre waterfront residential, cultural, retail and commercial precinct.

His experience includes more than forty years (40) of development management of large-scale multi-national projects in the United States, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia. He has a broad range of experience in project development, project and construction management, and in general management roles.
