The Livery Brewing Company

Service: The Livery microbrewery in Benton Harbor operates in a converted horse stable dating back to 1906. Some of the original features kept intact include: the original brickwork, several three-story-high wooden beams, and the impressive grain elevator which adorns the center of the building.

The Livery also employs sustainable brewing tactics. Many pieces of brewing equipment have been converted from used dairy farm equipment, including the Mash Tun and two fermenters. The brewery has also used local water sources such as Eden Springs at The House of David in Benton Harbor.

The Livery kitchen thoughtfully prepares food items from many local sources, including: Eater’s Guild, Big Head Farms and Mud Lake Farms. “Green” paper products are also used throughout the kitchen and pub to help reduce our environmental footprint.
