Green Spirit Farms LLC
Contact: Dan Kluko
Service: Our business concept is to use the Volksgarden Rotary Garden units in a multi level system (referred to as a Rotary Vertical Growing Station or RVGS)  as well as a multi level tray system (referred to as a Vertical Growing Station or VGS) growing organic produce near large urban markets reusing older vacant or under utilized industrial or commercial buildings.  This approach using this technology will provide several harvests per year of organic vegetables grown "extremely local".  This approach will significantly reduce transportation and supply chain management costs and offset large quantities of carbon by locating the farm near the markets where people consume the food, versus in remote growing locations.  This approach using the Omega Garden technology uses significantly less water than conventional farming and typical hydroponic growing systems.  The Green Spirit Farms Organic Vertical Farm will eliminate agricultural run off and associated soil erosion impacts improving water quality by eliminating these primary sources of water pollution.
We can operate sustainably 24/7 and simultaneously reduce the "carbon footprint" associated with traditional food supply.  Our approach eliminates unforeseen severe weather events that negatively impact yields of high value vegetable crops (such as floods, drought and early frost) resulting in more stable production and stellar risk management - year round.
We will grow our vegetables using carbon neutral or renewable energy and offer our expertise to others who desire to have fresh, pesticide free vegetables year round.

Octopot Garden Systems
Contact: Chris & Robin Jaworski
Service: Octopot Garden Systems for home and professional growing unite soil gardening with the science of hydroponics. The patented design maximizes root mass for bigger yields, waters plants automatically up to 2 weeks without electric or batteries, and conserves water, soil, and fertilizer. Octopot’s creator, Chris Jaworski is a professional horticulturalist, inventor, artist and entrepreneur with an education and solid background in agriculture who experienced the demise of his family farm in South Bend, Indiana and the rise of industrial food production. Octopot is dedicated to promoting the return of home gardening, expanding urban farming, improving access to fresh local produce, and supporting local agriculture.

Company's Sustainable Achievements:
Octopot has developed a container garden system for home and professional growing that conserves resources and improves yields.  It eliminates water run off, wasting no water and using one half or less the amount of fertilizer. Our Oystershell Garden System only uses 5-7 gallons of soil but returns yields similar to plants grown in 15-gallon containers or larger by growing roots inside the water reservoir as well as the soil. Multiple harvests are typical. It automatically waters plants without pumps, electric or batteries making them easy to use anywhere indoors or outdoors, perfect for small spaces and places without access to fertile land.  Attach multiple units to a larger water reservoir for automated gravity fed watering in greenhouses and for professional food production.
